Özet:
This book offers a unique set of chapters and case studies employing the use of various disparate techniques for the modeling and simulation of complex communication networks. Rather than focus on simplistic models using simple numerical simulations, the book focuses instead on tools and techniques which can be used for the realistic modeling of large-scale and complex communication networks-termed collectively as Complex Adaptive COmmunicatiOn Networks and environmentS (CACOONS). The book has been logically sectioned in three parts. The first part focuses on the importance of modeling and simulation and also gives two varied examples of unconventional but powerful tools which can be useful for any type of modeling and simulation, in general, and modeling and simulation of CACOONS, in particular. This is followed by the second part which presents three critical reviews and surveys in the domain of modeling and simulation. The third part of the book focuses on practical case studies of modeling and simulation using different techniques. Of interest here is a focus on the use of the Cognitive Agent-based Computing (CABC) framework. CABC framework can be used to model any type of complex physical system or complex adaptive system (CAS). As such, it can be a very useful approach to model and simulate any type of CACOONS. The third part presents several practical case studies employing the use of CABC framework in various areas of CACOONS.
